The family Halloween party has evolved over the years, starting out as a casual get-together to see the toddlers in their costumes. Then, as the grandkids got older, it became a “make-your-own-pizza” party with all of the kids wearing their costumes. Last year, we all put on funny hats for the group picture. This year, we said, “Why should the kids have all the fun?”
Winners of the extemporaneous costume contest are shown below:
Winners of the Group Costume are Captain Awesome, Mr. Amazing in Diapers and The Queen. All of the costume(s) were hand made by The Queen, even the boots not shown in this picture.
Best Individual Costume was Pippi Longstocking by Carly, 7.
Winners in the Open Couple category was Hector, the child prodigy maracas player, and Heather, his loser Mom who is a former flower child.
Winner of the Loser Costume was Bessie, the Cow.
And Mr. Amazing in Diapers is not quite sure what he’s looking at. Its not exactly like the cow he saw in his “Old MacDonald’s Farm” board book.
Thought for the day: By the time a man is wise enough to watch his step, he’s too old to go anywhere.
