Old Glory

Old Glory

The title of this photo has a double meaning;  1) Obviously, the flag’s nickname is “Old Glory”, and this flag looks like it has seen plenty of “glory”.  2) The flag is reflected in a window of a 130+ year old country church in NW Iowa, which is still used, weathered and beaten, but still standing proud in all His “glory”.

July 4th means a lot of different things to different people.  It is my favorite holiday, and I’ll have more to say about it later, but I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Fourth of July, while I’m digesting the long term effect of the fun I had this weekend.

Thought for the DayIf we ever forget that we’re one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.  Ronald Reagan
