Repeating shapes is one of many concepts of photo composition. I found several “repeating shapes” in this photo: the vertical elements of the fence, the mower’s cut lines, the mowers, body shapes and even facial expressions.
In a good composition there will be only one repeating shape, not several different ones like I see in this photo, which end up competing for the eye’s attention. But, I don’t think its necessary to sic the photographic police on me.
