Back to school?! Are you kidding me?! … its still August, the autumnal equinox isn’t for another 30+ days! My tomatoes are just turning ripe, it can’t be time for school to start already.
Today’s kids really have it rough, they have to start school in the middle of the hottest month of the year; when I was a kid, schools never started before Labor Day. How can they concentrate on school when there is so much summer left.
Kids are now counting days before the next teacher in-service day or holiday, whatever it takes to get out of school. They probably can’t wait for the first snow day.
