This shot was taken on the south shore of the Cape, near Dennis Beach. The sun is behind me, barely above the horizon, but high enough to spill a red cast over the beach houses, and brighten up the breaking surf.
The clouds look like a fire ball coming out of a leaking oil well minus the black smoke. Without trying, quite by accident really, the moon is probably the sharpest I’ve ever had in a photo; it was behind the cloud when I was setting up the shot. I think the birds add a little interest to the image; besides the gorgeous scenery, the birds give it a sense of realism.

Thought for the Day: I think Congressmen should wear uniforms like NASCAR drivers so we could identify their corporate sponsors.
Thanks for posting the sunrise photos. There’s no way I’m getting up to see it in person.
