Like the song goes, “Those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer, full of soda and pretzels and beer”, nothing beats a rope swing over the water for good clean summer fun. Where did the summer go?! The kids are back in school, college football is here (nothing wrong with that), days are getting shorter and its Labor Day weekend. Labor Day: the official end of summer fun. Shoot, seems like I just put away my snow shovel.
Labor Day is always a mixed blessing for me. I hate to see the summer end; I love warm weather, even though this summer’s heat and drought was a little much, and all of the activities that go with it. But, the good news is college football is finally here. Labor Day: the official start of that glorious 4-month season of college football.
Like my Dad always said, “Got to take the good with the bad.” Have a fun-filled safe Labor Day weekend, and cheer on your favorite college football team.
