Truth be Told

Admittedly, this photo will not win any photo contests.  C’mon, I was buzzing down the interstate at 80 mph in western Wyoming when I came upon this truck.  Not the best shooting conditions, so cut me some slack.  When I realized what the sign was telling me, I was already even with the truck and just about to pass him.

I thought to myself, “Hmmm.  This guy really knows what its all about, he gets it.  There are certain laws of the universe that just can’t be broken, like the song says,’You don’t tug on Superman’s cape, you don’t pull the mask off the old Lone Ranger, and you don’t mess around with Jim.’ ”  And of course, the one we all grew up with:  “You don’t piss into wind”.

I slowed down to let the truck get ahead of me, while my wife fished the camera out of her purse.  (two miles later)  After the picture was taken, I returned to Wyoming cruising speed and eventually passed the truck … but gave the trucker a two thumbs up.  I loved his transparent approach to life, what you see is what you get.  He nodded and flashed his brights.  Yeh, we’re on the same wave length.
