
No, the image is not upside down. The shoreline is near the top of the photo, and the foreground is all reflection. The lack of evergreens on the shoreline robs the scene of any contrasting color leaving too much of yellow … rather boring, actually.
Taking advantage of the only 30 minutes of sunshine I saw during four days in Jackson Hole, I found more interest in the reflection. The clouds reflected in this pond, at first glance, might look like the snow-capped Tetons, but, you need quite an imagination to see any jagged peaks in those clouds.
One thing I do like about this image is the texture of the sky and clouds. I added a texture layer, but the floating leaves magnified the effect. Overall, its a so-so image, not bad, but certainly no “wall hanger”.
