Making Tracks

Making Tracks
Making Tracks

It was late afternoon of an early fall day.  I was walking through a local wildlife refuge called Heron Haven, located smack dab in the middle of Omaha suburbs.  I was minding my own business, just enjoying the quiet and looking for photo opportunities.  City noise was muffled in the background, still present but not in-your-face loud.

This little duck saw me before I heard it.  The panic in his little quack startled me as he began making tracks to the middle of the lake.  It was paddling for all it was worth, leaving a nice wake in the duck weed.  Sorry, little fella, didn’t mean to ruin your day.

It was the only wildlife I saw that day.

Thought for the Day:  Art is born of the observation and investigation of nature.                                                                                                                      Cicero  (106 BC – 43 BC)
