Senior citizens have “firsts” too. As a grandparent I have a “first” every time my oldest grandchild reaches a new milestone or experiences something new. This year it is the junior-senior prom. This is the first junior-senior prom of my eight grandchildren.
When she met her three friends for pre-prom pictures, there was excitement in the air. Every emotion magnified, every event dramatized, and every movement is frantic. If they’re not worrying about how they look, they’re giggling. A real giggle-fest.
I was proud to share the moment, and thankful for such a beautiful subject to photograph.
