One thing I like about county fairs is people watching. All kinds of people, real people show up as themselves. It’s waaay better than WalMart in the sense that fair-goers aren’t trying to make a statement, they are just there to enjoy the festivities.
Recently, I went to the Saunders County Fair in Wahoo, Nebraska. It was 4-H day, early in the week, before the rides, sideshows and concession stands open, but still plenty of real people having a good time.
These two young cowgirls were making their way to the arena, probably to watch a big sister compete in some horse event. Just being themselves.
Thought for the Day: It aint the clothes that make the cowgirl, it’s the attitude and heart. Unknown
