Senior Prom

April, Spring … high school prom season.

This pretty young lady is my oldest grandchild.  Last week I was reading “Cat in the Hat” to her.

I know I’m biased, but I marvel at what she has become and the potential that lies ahead for her.  Not only is she pretty (Duh!) on the outside, but she is the real deal on the inside too: polite, sensitive, loyal, hard working, reliable, dependable, trustworthy, forward-looking, determined, helpful, friendly, courteous, (sounds like I’m reciting the Boy Scout oath), and has a great sense of humor.

Wish I could say that my gene pool was large enough to contribute even half of those characteristics.
