Russia is the host country for the 2018 World Cup and St. Petersburg is the showplace. The flying saucer-looking structure in the middle right is the new stadium. The two towers support the suspension bridge for the new highway.
This narrow view of a modernistic skyline is quite a contrast to the wall of drab government high-rise housing that surrounds the charming old city.
