Waterfowl are plentiful on Sanibel Island off the Gulf coast of Florida. I caught this Little Blue Heron near the shore of one of the many walking trails on the island.
It was early morning but the sun was high enough to allow a fast shutter speed: 1/5000 at f8 and ISO 2000. The bird was close, most of its body was lit, and light reflected in the bug’s wings. All the planets must have been properly aligned to get this shot.
I thought about buying a lottery ticket.

Oops. I didn’t think the first email went through ☺
So, I guess I’ll chat a bit. How’s that?
Not much new to report. Sheila Nelson was severed earlier this month. Pam Ferguson is looking forward to her June 2018 retirement (and severance—lucky lady). Becky and Jeff have mixed emotions about their final date of 12/31/18.
Bob and I (and our third ‘Policy’ group member, Johanna) are still being told we are located where we need to be.
The Credit and Collections group was severed in November as well. Hired all new people to work in RC (that ‘swooshing’ sound from the north).
It’s just not very fun around here, Larry. We keep playing the Powerball lottery and there hasn’t been a single time it wouldn’t have been a good time for us to hit that jackpot.
You are obviously enjoying life with all of your traveling. I, too, visited the beaches of Lake Michigan. I was there in October. No yoga classes were going on. I may have had to join up if they were there. I shouldn’t say that. I went and tore my hamstring making like I was young over the 4th of July. Ouch. That hurt. (Both the injury and the age comment) I have yet to get back into my yoga practices, so I guess I wouldn’t have been able to join them. My hamstring is 98.5% better, but I really did a number on my hip. Wow, it’s hard healing as we get older.
Well, I have some data requests to finalize and send out for final review, so I better sign off. Just sends chills down your back, doesn’t it? Feel free to stop in and offer a hand any time!
