Washington State’s oldest continually operated hotel, the Hotel De Haro, is located in Roche Harbor on the north side the San Juan Island. Its 20 rooms have hosted visitors since 1886, including Theodore Roosevelt and John Wayne.
Only six of the twenty rooms have en suite bathrooms, other rooms share 4 bathrooms located at the ends of the 2nd and 3rd floor. A standard 10′ x 10′ room with a king-sized bed, no view of the harbor, and shared bathroom goes for $160/night in the off season. New Years, Valentine’s Day and the 2018 summer season are already sold out.
Everyone should experience the “good ole days”.
