Finland’s Presidential Palace

Finland’s Presidential Palace

On July 16, 2018, US President, Donald Trump met with Russian President, Vladimir Putin in Helsinki.  They met in Finland’s Presidential Palace, shown above.

I stood across this narrow canal in August, 2017 and took this photo.  Not because it looked like a palace, far from it, but just to document my presence.  It is a very modest building with no visible trappings of power and influence.  No flags were flying in the courtyard because the president was not in residence.

I hope security is more than meets the eye.

Thought for the Day:  Ninety percent of the politicians give the other ten percent a bad reputation.                                                                                                      Henry Kissinger
