Jack Daniels

Jack Daniels

This statue of Jack Daniels stands near his original still in a “holler” near Lynchburg, Tennessee.  The sculpture is titled, “Jack on the Rocks”.  Every drop of Jack Daniels’ whiskey is produced in this one and only distillery, producing over 16 million cases per year.

JD’s history is a colorful one, and the tour is well worth the time.  Lynchburg is a spot in the road, far from any Interstate Highway, so a pretty country drive is necessary to get there.  Located in Moore County, which is a dry county, raises a few eyebrows, but the Company is very supportive of the community that provides a major part of its workforce.

Jack looks better in a hat, especially mine.

Thought for the Day:  Basically, I’m for anything that gets you through the night — whether it be prayer, tranquilizers or a bottle of Jack Daniels.                                                                                                Frank Sinatra (who had a bottle of “Jack” placed in his coffin)
