Twin Towers of Neckties
The Strategic Air Command’s Aerospace Museum, located near Ashland, Nebraska, has over 300,000 sq. ft. of exhibit and restoration space. It has actual airplanes, fully assembled on the exhibit floor: bombers, fighters, transporters, helicopters, missiles, etc.
But the most unexpected exhibit I saw was a tribute to casualties of the terrorists attack on the Twin Towers in New York City on Sept 11, 2001. Almost 1,500 neckties were used to create a scale model of the Twin Towers. Interesting … but I found no information on the neckties’ source.
Thought for the Day: a date that will live in infamy.
