2019 Monarch
It seems late in the season to be seeing the first Monarch butterfly in my yard. I’ve found a few caterpillars, but this is the first adult Monarch.
This shot was taken with my new “bridge” camera: f5.6 , 1/320th sec, and 400 mm . I’m experimenting with it, hoping to use it as my travel camera, less than one-third the weight of my ” workhorse”.
The new camera is a Lumix (Panasonic) rather than the Canon line I’ve used for years, so the menu and controls are quite different. Time will tell if this old dog can learn a few new tricks.
Thought for the Day: Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty.
