Luc-sur-Mer is one of many beautiful sites in France’s Normandy region. One could spend weeks along the Normandy coast visiting one small village after another. Each one is picturesque and filled with WW II memorials and moving stories of D-Day.

Located near Juno Beach, where the British forces landed, Luc-sur-Mer is not a well-known place. In fact, the bus didn’t even slow down going through it; I was lucky to get this shot through the window.

Thought for the Day: They say that time heals all things, they say you can always forget; but the smiles and tears across the years, they twist my heartstrings yet.
George Orwell
