Pier Reflection
When I’m searching for a photographic subject I look for lines: leading lines, intersecting lines, geometric shapes, repeating shapes, etc. I happened upon these pier pilings in the Matanzas River at St. Augustine, FL.
The early morning light was fantastic, and the calm water allowed for a near mirror-like reflection. I wished I could have been in a boat and shot perpendicular to the pier so the “X” braces would run square across the top and bottom of the frame.
Like my Dad always said, “You can’t have everything.”
Thought for the Day: Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.
