There are always new “finds” at the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, Nebraska. No matter how often you go, there is always a new adventure.
I’ve been in the Lied Jungle several times, one of the world’s largest indoor rain forests, and have seen every species of monkey. But, this time a Howler Monkey wasn’t sleeping, and he was hard to miss. His booming voice sounded like a bass drum mixed with an air raid siren … unbelievable volume out of such a small animal.
Thankfully, they sleep about 15 hours a day.
Thought for the Day: The only reason why God created Man is because he was disappointed in the monkey.
