Pretty Bird

I have no idea what kind of bird this is. The local zoo, world famous Henry Doorly, needs to improve their signage in the Lied Jungle. Why? The animals, especially birds, are never seen close to the informational sign attached to the visitor’s boardwalk. Monkeys and land animals are also free to roam in this enclosed rain forest.

This picture is a good example. The sign on the boardwalk where I shot this beautiful bird said, “Pygmy Hippo”. The expression, “When pigs can fly!” came to mind.

Another signage solution for birds is to send them to “parrot school” so they learn how to talk. If this bird could talk, I could just ask its name and not worry about the signage.

Thought for the Day: Someone told me its all happening at the zoo.
