US Senior Open – 2013
This past weekend, June 11 – 14th, was the first PGA (Pro Golfers’s Association) tournament held since the COVID-19 pandemic halted play three months ago. It was played without fans. The next three scheduled tournaments will also be without fans.
In a typical year The Masters, US Open and PGA Championship would have been played by mid-June, but they have all been postponed until later in the year. The British Open was cancelled.
In terms of social distancing, the new normal caused by COVID-19, it appears the US Senior Open in 2013 was way ahead of its time.
Thought for the Day: It’s tough to make predictions, especially about the future.
