Spider Flower

I found this beauty among the hundreds of colored plants in my wife’s flower garden(s). The unusual structure of the flower head caught my eye: beautiful shades of lavender petals standing on spider legs surrounding the deep purple stamen at the top of a 5′ tall stem.

And a funny name to boot: Cleome or Spider Flower.

Thought for the Day: Many eyes go through the meadow, but few see the flowers in it.
