Wild Turkey – 2015
Happy Thanksgiving, 2020! The COVID-19 pandemic has overshadowed everything since March, and made even more frenetic the recent presidential election. Another spike of recent COVID cases is driving dramatic changes in our observance of this truly American holiday through city and state mandates; e.g. mask wearing, limiting the number of people meeting to celebrate their most favorite holiday (some states prohibiting more than 10 per household), bringing your own food, using plastic utensils, social distancing, eating outside and encouraging 10-14 days of self-quarantine prior to the holiday gatherings.
Demand for turkeys is down — the price falling to $.39/lb., but the demand for Wild Turkey (liquid form) is growing.
With all of this going on, the list of things I am thankful for includes the freedom (so far) to write about it.
