Veterans’s Day

Think about the American Flag on Veteran’s Day. Why is it the most recognized flag in the world? The sight of the American Flag makes one think of: freedom, independence, liberty, justice, opportunity, hope, security, family, and friends.

People from all over the world have been migrating to and settling this continent for over 500 years. While the United States of America is a melting pot of races, ethnicities, backgrounds and religious beliefs (or lack of), the country was founded on the concepts that come to mind when you see the American Flag.

This little guy is too young to understand many of those concepts, but he is learning to respect the American Flag and everything it stands for.

Thought for the Day: When we honor our flag, we honor what we stand for as a nation — freedom, equality, justice and hope.
Ronald Reagan
