The Bubble Room is a tourist attraction disquised as a great restaurant.
Located in an old 3-story house on Captiva Island, the decor started in 1979 with a Christmas theme. The Christmas lights are still on but hardly noticed, being upstaged by the thousands of framed B&W photos of celebrities from the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. Piped in music from the 20’s through 40’s adds to the nostalgia. Under glass table tops lie small toys, games and Cracker Jack prizes from the same era.
For an added touch, the wait staff is dressed in Boy Scout uniforms of various vintage. By the way, the food is great too!
