A local told us about a “swimmin hole”, 40 miles north of Fort Robinson, just inside South Dakota. After 3 days of high 90’s and low 100 temps we were ready to cool off.
A spring-fed stream flowing behind a little-used rest stop provided the perfect ending to our four-day family gathering. No admission fee, no lifeguard, no rules … not even open/closing time. Just common courtesy and respect for the land. Like the good ole days.
What a blast!
Thought for the Day: The tans will fade but the memories will last forever.
