Psst, did I get your attention? Check out these storm clouds brewing over a freshly cut hay field in northeast Nebraska. (BTW, I do know how to spell “hey”.)
Some people say Nebraska is a fly over state, not much to see. If you stay on Interstate 80, it’s easy to understand why they say that. While you’re cruising along I-80 you see plenty of the same thing, and waay too much time to see it — about eight hours worth from Omaha to Scottsbluff. You’re propping your eyelids open with toothpicks, munching on junk food, turning the radio up, drumming the steering wheel, and stickin’ your head out the window, anything to stay awake. You’d give anything for a plane ticket to fly over Nebraska.
But, the scenery and boredom in an airplane isn’t much better. Personally, I cherish the opportunity to experience scenes like this while driving through Nebraska.
Thought for the Day: Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work. Thomas Edison
This one is stunnnnnnnnning. Just love it! It looks like an oil painting and captures the full beauty of the Nebraska plains that we experienced on our trip.
